Well, as you can guess, today at work pretty much sucked.
First things first, I'm trying to chase some info up on a design, and it's now increased in size by a factor of four.
Now, I get some metalwork in, and I find a couple of screw ups. Now, one of the fuck-ups is mine, where I didn't notice the wrong size hole on the drawing. The other is where the've put the wrong spacing for some holes, so bits won't fit.
it's sooo bloody annoying.

Weekend shennanigans
Well, the weekend was a blast.
On friday I went to see an old female friend of mine. WhenI say old, it's that I've known here a long time, not that she's old. I don't think I have any old (age) friends. But I digress.
so, this friend, I haven't seen for 5 years. Her comment when she was me was "My god you look like a bouncer". apparently 5 years ago, I was a skinny runt.
Anyways, much alcohol was consumed, and much naughtiness happened.

Appraisals
Hokay, today I had my first appraisal at my "new" job. I was supposed to have one after three months, but now after over four months I've had my first yearly appraisal.
Well, it went well. The scores have been good, but it kinda read like my school reports. "Room for improvement" which, seing as I've not been there long is to be expected. I'm still in a kinda transition phase, adjusting from the fast in-out manufacturing process to a long timescale, unique product each time, for which my team leader is already planning where my career in the company could be in 3-5 years time.
In a nutshell, the job is looking up. :-)
