Well, my car is FINALLY sorted out. Got it serviced last wednesday, when I picked it up friday, got an engine warning light on. Turns out if the engine management computer isn't reset after the cam belt has been changed, the sensors are screwed. Well, when the engineer came out on friday, he said he reset it. Turns out he didn't, and now a week after the service started, I have a fully functioning car.
So, I go out to get some photography done. It's a grey day, and all the shots are lacking impact. Even the ones I thought would look good black and white are pretty dull and lifeless. Feh, maybe get some better luck later.

Date with the PBB
Well, some of you already know this, but I had a date with a (possible) Psycho Bunny Boiler. Met her Saturday at a bar I was doing a shift in. First impressions she was OK, and as I hadn't been dating for a while, thought it a good opportunity to "get back in the saddle" so to speak and gave her my number.
The same night I was getting on well with another girl, and asked for her number. Got the old "Can't remember my number, but ask my friend and she'll give it to you", so I got Leigh's number. After a brief discussion on #THM, I text her.
Come sunday evening, what can only be described as a flood of text messages started coming from Hannah. Within 24 hours I had 20 text messages and three (attempted) phone calls, which came at times when I couldn't answer.
So by Monday night, I've agreed to go on a date with Hannah. After about half an hour she tells me that she's got a 2 yr old kid, is divorced, and is 22. After about an hour, the babysitter has had enough, so the daughter is on the date too.
So far, no date has been aranged with Leigh, but only time will tell if anything develops there.

Santa Pod fun!
September 11th was the european finals of the drag racing calendar. Lots of high speed cars. The most exciting bit is when one car lost it and went into the wall. Unfortunately, didn't have the video camera on it. The only time I didn't have it out, something like that happens.
Likely to be going to the "Thunder and fireworks" event. Racing at night, with the jet car, and top fuel cars going. Lots of flame, and loud cars.

Reading Festival
What can I say about that.
It was wet
And muddy.
well, everywhere else was myddy except the campsite we were in. Sparcely populated, there was actualy a decent space between the tents.
Friday.
Watched Jurassic 5, The Distillers, The Hives, Ash, Super Furry Animals, and of course, The Darkness.
I woulda like to see more of the bands that I havent really watched before, but at least The Darkness put on a good show. Loadsa fireworks.
Saturday
Saw The Roots, Franz Ferdinand, The Libertines, MC5, Dizzee Rascal, The White Stripes, and Funeral for a Friend.
All the bands were great, except the White Stripes. As a live act they don't do much for me. We left them on the main stage and watched FFAF on the Radio 1 stage. They woulda been a much better closing act on the main stage.
Sunday.
Well, all the action happened today. We had The Razmus lasting one song. Apparently the basist got hit in the eye with a bottle. That screwed the schedule up. I wanted to catch the Streets, but only caught "Dry your Eyes" and "Fit (but you know it)". Bummed by that.
Besides them, we saw Lost Prophets, Placebo, The Others, Soundtrack of Our Lives, and Green Day. In the end Green Day did a 2 hour set. They were only scheduled for 90 mins, but oh my god did they rock. At one point they tried to get three members of the audience to play drums, guitar, and bass. In the end they had to get one of the drummers from another band, but the guitarist and basist they found. They ended up playing the outro chorus of a song with Billie Joe.
All in all, was a good weekend, and much fun was had with the "Yes, no, maybe, wrong, and Ooh lordy" as a scoring method for the girls there.
Roll on next year.

long time no write
Well, it's been a while. I guess I'd better get you all up to date....
I've still been pretty much "All work n no play" recently. Hectic as hell at work. But I have managed to get a few weekend outings. I'll stick a separate post for them.
I have been spending a stupid ammount of money again. Decided to get my self a digital SLR camera. Expect some of my experiments on deviantArt.
